Social responsibility of the Bank

Ukrinbank PJSC traditionally pays major attention to social responsibility programs. Ukrinbank is not only the reliable, stable financial institution, but also the team, consisted of more than 1000 highly qualified specialists. The Bank’s social responsibility is based upon the team members’ conscious social position, inner need of every employee to participate in development of Ukraine. The Bank sees its mission in supporting initiatives of culture and education development, raising quality of life of Ukraine citizens.

Thus in 2010 the Head Office of the Bank hosted 5 personal exhibitions of Ukrainian artists: Georgiy Zaychenko (Kyiv), Ravil Akmayev (Donetsk), Yevgen and Temir Rymar (Crimea), Olena Svechnikova (Kyiv), David Brodsky (Kyiv); it also provided support for young musicians (Oleksiy Bogolyubov jazz quartet, quartet of saxophonists), directors and actors (Natalya Pyatygina, Yevgen Paperny); the Bank supported holidays for the residents of some cities (Maslyana and Children’s Day in Energodar, Easter in Lviv etc.). Following Ukrinbank initiative, with participation of Georgiy Zaychenko, the member of the Artists Union of Ukraine, on 19 November, 2010 the Head Office of the Bank hosted charity event, collecting money for children with diabetes, dedicated to the World Diabetes Day (Resolution of the UN General Assembly dated 20 December, 2006); representatives of the NGOs, the Bank’s partners and clients and, foremost, Ukrinbank employees took part therein. The event resulted in providing targeted assistance to children with diabetes, to provide them with modern medical equipment and improve their lives.

Ukrinbank pays great attention to educational programs and fostering education development in Ukraine. The Bank provided funds for reconstruction of one of Lugansk schools and creating a computer class there. The Bank holds a number of specialized events to raise financial culture of children and adult citizens: column “Financial ABC” (in cooperation with «Dengi UA» magazine, educationaladventure comics «Hryvnyk, Hryvenka and Business» in the magazine for schoolchildren «Funny lessons» (approved for use in secondary schools by the Institute of Innovation Technologies and Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).
